THEATRE – PERFORMANCE EMPHASIS
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 70 total and 30 upper-division credits are required for the BA in Theatre major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Begin or resume elementary foreign language, if competency requirement is not complete. Unless you are exempt, take the Math Placement Test at least three academic quarters before you intend to take your Exploratory Curriculum math class. Complete ENG 2201, if required.			AHB, AHC, SSA, SSB, NSA, NSA, NSB, MAT (Choose one to three depending on competency courses needed)
Other				Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed

Common Curriculum				/
Major	TRE 2340 or TRE 3340			TRE 2420 or TRE 2421; TRE 1931/3931 (6 credits total required for the degree)

Other	Apply for admission to the major once 12 TRE credits has been successfully completed.			Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

Common Curriculum
Major	TRE 2340 or TRE 3340			TRE 3733, 3710;Choose 15 credits from the following:TRE 2320, 2350, 3321, 3340, 4760, 4961; TRE 1931/3931 (6 credits total required for the degree); TRE 1930/3930 (2 credits total required for the degree)
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				AHB, AHC, SSA, SSB, NSA, NSB, MAT (whichever categories remain unfulfilled)
Other	Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned.			Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed

YEAR 4	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter
Common Curriculum
Major			TRE 4899	TRE 4911 or TRE 4913; TRE 1931/3931 (6 credits total required for the degree)
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				AHB, AHC, SSA, SSB, NSA, NSB, MAT (whichever categories remain unfulfilled)
Other	Create a final-year plan and meet with your faculty advisor for review.			Electives to reach at least 180 total college-level quarter credits and 60 upper-division credits if needed
