Office of the Provost - Academic resources for teaching and curriculum planning, spring 2023

Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the spring semester. I’m writing to provide you with the latest edition of Academic Instruction Guidance, January 6, 2023 (download PDF). This guidance will help you finish planning the classes you’ll be teaching this spring and will help with curriculum planning for future semesters. It includes the following content:

  • Spring 2023 course planning reminders
  • Spring 2023 teaching and advising information and resources
  • Curriculum planning and teaching assignments for summer 2023 and beyond
  • COVID-19 information and how to manage medical absences from class

I’d especially like to draw your attention to these items, detailed further in the Academic Instruction Guidance:

Required syllabus statements for spring 2023
Be sure to provide your students with this accessible electronic version of the required syllabus statements and note the final exam policy, which stipulates that no class session can be held and no graded work can be due on Reading Day.
