Office of the Provost - A message from Provost Moore: An update on Leeds dean search process

Dear Leeds faculty, staff, and advisory board members:

I’m writing to welcome Yonca Ertimur in her new role as acting dean and to provide an update on the recruiting process for selecting the next permanent dean. Thank you to those who have already shared your thoughts and ideas with me. I’m grateful for your engagement and enthusiasm.

During the month of August, I will be scheduling Zoom calls with Leeds faculty, staff, and key stakeholders to seek input on the strengths and opportunities of the school and the attributes and qualifications of ideal candidates. Additionally, I will be asking for your input and feedback in an online survey. Finally, I am seeking referrals for the position itself and encourage you to email me with your recommendations.

This fall, I will announce the members of the search advisory committee along with the formal posting of the position and the name of the executive search firm assisting with the search. In the spring of 2023, I plan to bring finalists to campus and appoint a new dean by early summer. You can be assured that I will be seeking a visionary, energetic, and innovative leader who can build on Dean Matusik’s achievements and take Leeds to all new levels of success.

Thank you for your participation in this important process for the Leeds School of Business and the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.

Best,

Russ
