S. Philip Hsu is a Professor at the Department of Political Science and Director of the Center for China Studies, National Taiwan University. He was president of the Chinese Association of Political Science (Taipei). 听He obtained his doctoral degree from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver. His research interests include comparative politics (with particular emphasis on the People鈥檚 Republic of China), political economy, and international relations (with particular emphasis on Asia-Pacific international security and economic cooperation)
