HUMAN TRAFFICKING: AN INTERSECTIONAL LENS
April 18th at 7:30pm
Engineering Center (ECCR) Room 200
The CU Cultural Events Board and Students Against Campus Sexual Assault are hosting Sarah Symons and Anjali Tamang, internationally-recognized activists who have dedicated their lives to fighting human trafficking and gender-based violence. Hear about the intersectional issues involved in human trafficking in India and Nepal, and learn what role you can play in solving this issue. Join us at ECCR 200 at 7:30 pm on April 18th for this event!
Symons is the founder of Her Future Coalition (a Michelle Obama Girls Opportunity Alliance-recognized nonprofit that fights against human trafficking), and Tamang has channeled her lived experience as a survivor of human trafficking to direct the Freedom School in Nepal (which uses education to empower girls to live free of violence).
