Profile
Asian Performance, Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia, conducted field research on the traditional shadow puppet theatre, the Wayang Kulit, and is currently finishing up a book on this subject for the National University of Singapore Press. Beth has conducted original field research on the performing arts throughout much of Southeast Asia and has published on this subject in The Asian Theatre Journal, South Asian Popular Culture, World Encyclopedia of Popular Culture (Greenwood Publishing Group), and The Quest (a journal of the Theosophic Society).
Recipient of the Chancellor's Committee on Women Awards, University of Colorado, 2009. Co-founder of , an international movement to inspire and mobilize mothers to advocate on behalf of the world’s children. In partnership with the Philanthropiece Foundation, Beth is currently touring her (M)other Tour, which consists of an original one-woman performance and workshop for vocal empowerment, to locations across North America and parts of Southeast Asia and Latin America.
