Barbara Flocke

Barbara Flocke is the Assistant Director for Curriculum and Instruction at the International English Center at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. With over 25 years of experience, she works with faculty to provide engaging language lessons that help students excel and reach their English language, academic and professional goals. Since 2007, Barbara has taught at the IEC, creating extensive curriculum for the Intensive English, ESL Academic Bridge, and the Global Business Communication programs. She is a regular presenter at TESOL International and other professional conferences, focusing on multi-level instruction, metacognition, and communicative teaching. Barbara holds an MA in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in TESL from the University of Texas in Austin, and a BA in French with a Political Science minor from Gonzaga University. Besides learning about languages and world cultures, she loves hiking, cycling, skate skiing, and creating clay sculptures.
