Meet Sarah Andrews, ASSETT’s Teaching, Learning, and Technology Assessment Consultant. She holds a PhD in Earth & Environmental Science with a Cognate in Classroom Teaching from the University of New Hampshire. Half of her dissertation was devoted to education-based research with a focus on transforming an introductory science course to a studio-style, student-centered active learning environment. Prior to joining ASSETT she spent four years helping departments in A&S and CEAS at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ improve their teaching evaluation practices as the project lead for the Teaching Quality Framework Initiative and consultant for the A&S Quality Teaching Initiative. She is interested in assessment at multiple scales and forms (e.g., assessment of student learning and their experiences, formative assessment & feedback on teaching practices, assessment of ASSETT programs & services, etc.), towards the goals of improving the student experience and understanding the teaching, learning, and technology needs of the Arts & Sciences community.Â
When she is not at work, Sarah enjoys baking/cooking (in another life she managed a kitchen in a health food store), reading, dabbling in art, and going for leisurely walks in the hills.
