Md Shahedur Rahman is a doctoral student in Strategic Communication in the College of Media, Communication, and Information (CMCI) at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.Ìý

Originally from Bangladesh, Shahed earned a BBA and MBA in Marketing from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet, and an MA in Communication from Western Illinois University. During his master's program, Shahed taught public speaking to undergraduate students, worked in the department's social media lab, and served as the international student ambassador, Graduate Student Senator of the Student Government Association, and president of the Bangladeshi Students Association. With a strong passion for education and communication, he has also gained significant experience in marketing, advertising, and social media strategy.Ìý

Shahed's research focuses on the intersection of computer-mediated communication and advertising. Specifically, he explores how digital platforms influence interpersonal relationships, public discourse, community building, and digital media advertising. His aim is to contribute to a deeper understanding of how technology shapes communication practices and to develop strategies for enhancing effective digital communication.Ìý

In addition to his academic pursuits, Shahed is an avid soccer enthusiast and enjoys discussing the sport at length. He is dedicated to bridging cultural gaps through effective communication and aspires to become an academician in communication, where he can inspire future generations of students.
