Kyle Harris is a doctoral student studying in the program of Advertising, Public RelationsÌýand Media Design at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.
His research interests focus on public relations, health communication, and media & digital ethics, examining the role of organizations to persuade and engage consumers toward positive health outcomes, while practicing sustainable and effective public relations strategies.
Kyle received a BA in English and an MA in Rhetoric and Public Relations from Brigham Young University. Previously, Kyle led public relations and marketing efforts in multiple industries for more than 20 years, spanning the core areas of paid, earned, and owned media. He led digital marketing, PR, media relations, social media, consumer health, advertisingÌýand strategic communications–serving medical systems, NGOs, and international organizations. He has received the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Award, along with recognition for communication excellence by multiple professional and business associations.
Kyle has always been an advocate for education, and, in fact, has a daughter who is also a doctoral student on the east coast. Kyle loves dogs, is a devout foodie, and is a golf and tennis fan. ÌýFinally, Kyle’s passion is music across many genres, loves movies, and, of course, is a devoted fan of the CU Buffs.
