Hailing from New Hampshire, Abby Levene earned her BA in sociology with a certificate in health and health policy from Princeton University in 2013. She ran cross country and track and field for CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ as a graduate student before taking time off to pursue a career as a professional triathlete, where she won two professional triathlete national championships. Eventually the mountains above ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ beckoned, and she retired from triathlon to race ultramarathons.
Abby is pursuing her master’s degree in journalism with a focus on the environment. Outside of academia and running, she enjoys bringing people into the wild, weird world of trail and ultrarunning through the written word.
