Art Bamford (He/Him) is a doctoral candidate at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and a fellow at the Center for Media, Religion, and Culture. He has an MAÌýin mass communication and media studies from the University of Denver and an MDivÌýfrom Fuller Theological Seminary.
Art has co-authored two books including Every Parent’s Guide to Navigating Our Digital World (2018) with Kara Powell and Brad M. Griffin.
His current research explores Protestant revivalism’s influence on the creation of modern American advertising and public relations. In addition, Art has presented and published work on a variety of topics including representations of religion in comic book-based media, the relationship between recording technologies and popular music-making practices, inclusive spaces within contemporary evangelical culture, and the role of social media in adolescent identity formation.Ìý
