Evan Peck’s expertise spans information visualization, human-computer interaction and computing ethics education. His current research focuses on reimagining the processes and tools we use to share data with more diverse communities. Evan’s work examines how designers’ implicit beliefs about where people live, their access to technology and their experiences may undermine the impact the way we see and use data.
Before joining CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, Evan was an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Bucknell University, where he advocated for an integration of ethics into core computing curriculum across the country. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Tufts University in 2014, where he studied the application of brain-computer interfaces (BCI) to working environments. In 2021, he was a visiting scientist with the MIT Visualization Group at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
