Every ��«����Ƶite knows the beauty of sunset over the Flatirons. As ��«����Ƶ’s beloved icon, the mountains are inspiration for all types of art, music and even tattoos.��

The illustration above, created by illustrator and graphic designer Charlie Hoesly (Anth’17), was a private commission for a fellow alum who wanted a piece that featured the Flatirons. Hoesly creates art pieces that he says are interpretations of things he is passionate about — “like animals, nature and ��«����Ƶ (Sko Buffs).” He tries to create “intricate illustrations using simple layered shapes,” which is a process he notes he honed in the printmaking department at CU.��
