CU Social Justice Summit, January 31

Dear graduate and professional student colleagues, see the announcement below from Provost Russ Moore:

On Jan. 31, CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host the CU Social Justice Summit, a virtual, daylong event open to all students, staff, and faculty from CU’s four campuses, the CU system administration and alumni and community members. This is a critically important and highly timely summit for all of us, and I’m inviting you to register to attend.

CU’s systemwide social justice summit will provide students, staff and faculty from CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, CU Denver, UCCS, the CU Anschutz Medical Campus and the CU system administration with opportunities to engage in dialogue about what it means to thrive in a diverse democracy.

Sessions will also center on how CU, as a diverse community of campuses, can leverage our collective teaching, research, academic work, and resources to create more just and inclusive campus communities and how we can extend our sphere of influence as Colorado’s leading R-1 university to create a more just and inclusive world. The summit aligns not only with CU’s strategic priorities as a university system, but more importantly with CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s unique DEI action planning to create a more inclusive and equitable experience for all of our students, staff, and faculty.

Thank you for your support, and I invite and encourage you to participate in the CU Social Justice Summit on Jan. 31.

Sincerely,
Russ
