German learners from Cherry Creek High School, Broomfield High School, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ High School, and Shining Mountain Waldorf School explored the CU campus on February 28 as part of the German Language Immersion Day. High school students tested their knowledge on German- American art, music, and popular culture in a game of Jeopardy. They visited an exhibit and completed activities & games addressing 20th-century German migration to America. They also went on German campus tours in which they learned about the university’s history, areas of study, and campus life. CU German faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and undergraduate learning assistants helped high school students immerse themselves into the German language and encouraged them to continue studying German and about its cultures during their campus visit.
