Arts & Sciences Honors
The Arts and Sciences Honors Program provides a community for highly motivated and academically engaged undergraduate students and offers opportunities for intellectual engagement through honors courses, academic-inspired events, and honors thesis research and creative work.Ìý We are an enrichment program for students who want to add something extra to their experience at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ:
- Honors-qualified students can choose to takeÌýHonors Program courses.Ìý Honors-qualified students in their first year at CU receive invitations to participate.Ìý Continuing students need only maintain a GPA of 3.3 or higher to be eligible to take an Honors course and participate in our other offerings.
- We offer a wide variety of events and activities, including the Honors Mood Boost, SciTalks, Skills Studio, Thesis Symposium, Ìýand the Honors Distinguished Speaker Series.ÌýÌý Attend our events and find your Honors Community!
- The Honors Program awards Latin honors - cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude - to graduating seniors in the College of Arts and Sciences who have successfully written and defended honors theses.
- In addition, we sponsor the , a student-run publication which publishes works from all academic disciplines represented on the CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus, and the Honors Scholars program, which offers the opportunity to help develop our Honors community and beyond.
- Honors students who would like to take part in the honors living-learning community have the option of applying to live in the honors dorm, known as theÌý (HRAP).Ìý
