In her role as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Organizational Effectiveness, Jennie oversees OIT’s customer engagement, human resources and administration, and portfolio, process and service management units. She is responsible for fostering meaningful connections with campus customers through strategic communications about services and IT initiatives, comprehensive self-help resources on the OIT website, the IT Liaison program and IT Community of Practice, as well as customer support through the IT Service Center and Buff Techs. She is also responsible for ensuring that OIT staff are empowered and engaged to provide best-in-class IT service and support to the CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ community through adherence to IT best practices. Finally, she is responsible for ensuring efficient intake, prioritization and resource management for IT projects and operational work.
Jennie brings nearly 14 years of higher education strategic HR business partner experience, 10 years higher education information technology leadership and 5 years of IT customer engagement leadership to her role. Before joining OIT as the HR manager in June 2011, she held several roles in CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s Department of Human Resources, including senior labor relations specialist, affirmative action officer and discrimination and harassment investigator. Before joining CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ in October 2007, Jennie practiced employment and medical malpractice defense law in Boston.
Jennie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colgate University and a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. She maintains Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP), Prosci Change Management Practitioner and ITIL v3 Foundations certifications.
