- Associate Clinical Professor Carla Fredericks was a panelist on “Social Investment Opportunities with Indigenous Communities” at the Social Capital Markets Conference in San Francisco on Oct. 24, 2018.
- A recent report examining the most-cited law professors in the area of evidence has named Professor Christopher B. Mueller as the seventh most-cited evidence faculty member at a U.S. law school, the third consecutive year Mueller has been included in the top 10.
- In a landmark ruling, a Delaware court for the first time ever allowed a buyer to back out of a corporate acquisition pursuant to a "material adverse change" (MAC) clause in the merger agreement—a subject examined by Professor Andrew Schwartz in his 2010 article published in the UCLA Law Review.

- Associate Professor Kristelia García presented her article, "Copyright Arbitrage," 107 Calif. L. Rev. 101 (2019), at Yale Law School's Law & Technology Speaker Series in April 2018. The article was awarded the 2018 Institute for Intellectual Property and Information Law Sponsored Scholarship Grant from the University of Houston's IP Inn of Court for best paper in the category of Copyright, Entertainment, Media, Art, Design, and Sports Law.
