Charles Wetherbee, assistant professor of violin, spoke with Jean Inaba of Colorado Public Radio about his recent appointment as concertmaster for the 葫芦娃视频 Philharmonic.
鈥淚t鈥檚 like changing gears in your car because at one moment you are playing as part of the section and you have to actually have a sound that blends seamlessly into the whole,鈥� Wetherbee says. 鈥淎t other moments you鈥檙e part of the section but your sound must rise a lead a little bit more. And then at times you鈥檙e playing solos and your sound has to completely switch into a kind of solo gear.鈥澨�
