When «Ƶ audiences hear the name David Korevaar, they probably think of classical piano, Bach and Hindemith—not concepts like “physical theater,” “techno pop” and “art punk.”
It’s not often you get to return to your alma mater and play one final concert with your peers. Fortunately, the College of Music offers that chance every year to winners of the Honors Competition, and this year sees the return of cellist Robert Erhard.
A 1998 graduate of the College of Music, Slater got her Bachelor of Music before moving on to study – and eventually teach – literature. After a few years as a professor and amateur musician, a feeling that had been stirring since she was a teenager began to guide Slater in a different – yet familiar – direction.
