ܰEntrepreneurship Center for Musicrecently hosted a very special evening with the Boston Public Quartet (BPQ). The event featured a student-led discussion of Diversity, Equity + Inclusion (DEI) in the chamber music world with members of BPQ, followed by a performance of works by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and other People of Color) composers Jessie Montgomery, Florence Beatrice Price and Jeraldine Herbison. College of Music students who led the discussion included (from center) pianist Jerimiah Owens, two members of our Graduate Quartet-in-Residence—Ivalas Quartet violinists Reuben Kebede and Tiani Butts—and pianist Elizabeth Smith.
