With the ongoing expansion of the Imig Music Building and all the exciting performances and events coming up this semester, the College of Music eagerly welcomes back its talented host of musicians.
- As members of the Cleveland Orchestra return to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ for a marquee residency, the college is planning a panel with female members of the orchestra.
- As Music Buffs have been off performing in summer festivals, engineers, architects, carpenters and contractors have been working diligently to make the new College of Music expansion come to life.
- The college welcomes Ryan Gardner, Joel Schut, Claude Sim and Branden Steinmetz in August.
- After 31 transformative years at the College of Music, Professor of Ethnomusicology Brenda Romero retired this spring.
- Faculty member Harumi Rhodes is nearing the end of her first year as second violinist for the Takács Quartet.
- New Senior Instructor of Chamber Music Meta Weiss took the reins of the College of Music’s chamber music program this semester.
- Violin DMA student Marisa Ishikawa joined Assistant Professor of Violin Charles Wetherbee and the Carpe Diem string quartet this semester.
