This month, Ben Pollack (BME '14) will be honored as Young Teacher of the Year at the Colorado Music Educators’ Association (CMEA) Conference. Pollack’s palpable enthusiasm and dedication to his students make him a deserving recipient of the award.

The College of Music community remembers these dear faculty, alumni, colleagues and friends who passed away this year.

“For me, fear doesn’t necessarily mean you shouldn’t do something. It might mean finding the courage to step into it,” says cellist Andrew Briggs.

It was a whirlwind couple of days for nine College of Music students, three alumni and one faculty member as Colorado took over Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall on Nov. 5, 2018.

Director of Bands Donald McKinney, jazz alumna Tia Fuller and opera alumnus Wei Wu were all on the list of the 2019 Grammy Award nominees.

“Sometimes you start somewhere, but end up somewhere else,” says Cassidy Grunninger (MM ’14), an Associate at Dunner Law PLLC, a Certified Woman-Owned firm in Washington. "My background in music inspires me and influences how I approach my work, the connections I make and the insights I have."
