Science Community Outreach Program and Education
Apply to become a or a Program Support Volunteer!
S.C.O.P.E. aims to increase science identity and access for middle school school students. The program has three core goals:
- Increase interest in science at the pre-high school level with an emphasis in service to schools with historically underrepresented students.
- Provide a unique opportunity for students to meet working scientists from the University of Colorado at «Ƶ and perform hands-on science experiments.
- Offer teaching and classroom opportunities at the pre-high school student level for staff, post-doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students within the University of Colorado at «Ƶ
“Meet a Scientist, Be a Scientist” acts as the organization’s motto and primary mission for all interactions with students.
