William Douglas
Est. 2005

William A. Douglas served as the Dean of Admissions, Registrar and in other administrative positions for the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ from 1959 to 1979.  During his tenure, Mr. Douglas worked closely with prominent business and community leaders to address a critical need that had been identified at the university: to attract top undergraduate students and provide them with insight into the business world and community surrounding them.  The goal was to prepare these students to become wise and ethical leaders for the future of Colorado.

In recognition of his vision for the Presidents Leadership Class and of his service to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ as well as to the Boettcher Foundation, the Boettcher Foundation established the William A. Douglas Endowment to provide scholarship and enrichment support to PLC participants selected as Douglas Scholars.
