Through the mist of confusion and division around American politics at the time, this group of girls realized what being grateful does, creating faith, community and love. Experiencing the culture instead of rejecting it, the girls grow closer to each other and the land around them. By looking back at moments filmed on a 1998 Sony camcorder this summer and continuing to capture this theme through fall of 2024, I have discovered a new way of being American, choosing to embrace the experience, learning not to fight.Ìý
