State of the Research and Innovation Enterprise

As a Tier 1 public research university that attracted $742 million in research funding last year, CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ has a thriving ecosystem of research, scholarship and creative work. In this talk, Massimo Ruzzene, vice chancellor for research and innovation and dean of the institutes, will share significant metrics, trends, insights and aspirations from the university’s research and innovation enterprise. He’ll also provide a closer look at some of CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s unique offerings and accomplishments from the past year.
Attendees are invited to stay after the event for lunch, from 12–1 p.m.

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)'s Sidewalk Symposium invites undergraduates to create and share their research and creative presentations with chalk on campus walkways—all in collaboration with a professional artist. UROP welcomes undergraduates at any stage of their project timeline to participate in this year's Sidewalk Symposium by creating colorful visual presentations of their projects using nothing but chalk.

2024 Sustainability Hackathon Kickoff

All CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students, faculty and staff are invited to join us as we kickoff the weeklong 2024 Sustainability Hackathon competition! Learn how to register your team and build on opportunities to "hack" some of the sustainability issues our society is facing. Your solution to a problem could include technology or have no technology at all. The key is coming together with others who are passionate about solving problems, teaming up on a solution idea, and having fun in the process of building something to have an impact on the world. Thousands of dollars in prize money will be awarded!
Agenda:
- 6–7 p.m. ► Learn about registering teams, competition guidelines, and potential projects.
- 7–8 p.m. ► Idea Builder: Participants form teams and build ideas with mentors (industry partners and tech industry and startup ecosystem leaders).
