Jen Walentas Lewon, MS, MA, CCC-SLP (she/they) is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. She is a certified clinical speech-language pathologist with experience in acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, private practice and home health settings. At the CU Speech, Language & Hearing Clinic, she provides assessment and intervention for adults with voice and neurogenic communication impairments and gender-affirming voice and communication training.

Jen teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Voice Disorders, Speech Disorders, Clinical Methods and Phonetics. Her clinical and research interests include voice and speech disorders, voice and gender expression, instrumental/acoustic measurements of voice and speech, LSVT, and clinical queries that advance evidence-based practice.

Jen enjoys academic technology and teaching online. She is interested in use of technology to improve teaching, enhance learning, and increase access for remote students. She coordinates the CU Speech-Language Pathology Prerequisites (SLPP) distance learning program and also supports the CU Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification program.

Jen received an MS in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Arizona State University and an MA in Applied Linguistics from Northern Arizona University.
