Biography

Tracy Fehr is a Sociology PhD student whose research interests include international human rights, gender, conflict, and transitional justice in the context of Nepal. Her current research projects focus on the unintended local consequences of post-earthquake development in Nepal, and the experiences of widows before, during, and after the 2015 earthquakes. Tracy's dissertation will analyze various aspects of Nepal's unfolding transitional justice process through a gendered perspective. 

Tracy has a Master’s in International Studies from North Carolina State University. Prior to CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, she worked at the Enough Project in Washington D.C. on African human rights policy and advocacy issues, and in Kathmandu, Nepal as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Crisis Management Studies and as a Field Research Consultant at Women for Human Rights. She has also served as a blog contributor for The Huffington Post and has previously published articles in news outlets including Women News Network, Christian Science Monitor, and AllAfrica.com.
