The CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ entrepreneurship program was ranked 10th in the nation by faculty from around the country and 14th overall, according to Entrepreneur magazine's April 2003 edition.
This was the magazine's first ranking of the 100 top entrepreneurship programs.
More than 700 entrepreneurship programs nationwide were evaluated for the study. The rankings were based on more than 30 criteria, including course offerings, faculty, business-community outreach, research centers and institutes, advisory boards, off-campus programs and degrees offered.
"What makes the Leeds program unique is its emphasis on partnerships within the Colorado business community," said Dean Steven Manaster. "It stands as a prime example of entrepreneurial spirit in an academic environment."
The CU Robert H. and Beverly A. Deming Center for Entrepreneurship spearheads the entrepreneurship program at the Leeds School. The center supports intern and mentoring programs for students and works with faculty to identify guest speakers for classes.
U.S. News and World Report also published its annual ranking of graduate schools and ranked the Leeds School's entrepreneurship program 18th nationally. This is the third consecutive year CU has been among the best in the country in U.S. News and World Report's top-20 national specialty programs.
