In the midst of the imminent November general election, there are issues of equal, and perhaps, even more immediate importance right here on campus at CU for us students.

Have you ever wondered about student fees? Who decides how much we pay, or who pays for big projects around campus? What can we do, if anything, to make our time here as CU students as equal and equitable as possible?

The University of Colorado Student Government (CUSG) is proud to host the first of two candidate debates on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. in Eaton Humanities room 150. Candidates for ASSG (Arts & Sciences) and CUSG Representative at large will engage in the spirited discussion of matters that directly impact our time as CU students.

There will be an opportunity for audience members to pose questions to the candidates in an effort to provide clear, concise, and valuable information to the voters who will decide the student leaders of our great university.

I strongly encourage you to attend this debate, and make your voices and desires heard.

Also, please remember to vote from Monday, Oct. 22, through Friday, Oct. 26. Your vote matters!

Thank you for your consideration and GO BUFFS!
