This week features the chancellor's annual State of the Campus address, active harmer training, an outdoor dog café in celebration of Conflict Resolution Week, a Colorado Creed-themed game night, screening of the documentary Chasing Coral,Ìýcareer fair where the companiesÌýpitch themselves to you, introduction to beekeepingÌýworkshop, Sing Along ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, CU's Ultimate Challenge and a night of self-care.

State of the Campus address
Join Chancellor DiStefano for the fall State of the Campus address at 9 a.m.Ìýin the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. There will be free food, community discussionÌýand an update on how fares the campus and how it will progress into the future. Submit a question for the chancellor now.
CUPD is hosting an active harmer response class open to all CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students, staff and faculty to help make you aware of what to do during an active harmer situation. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in UMC 247, this class will be a resource for increasing your safety and well-being on and off campus should anÌýemergency situation happen. This class is free, but you must registerÌýin advance at the link above and bring your Buff OneCard for entry.

In celebration of Conflict Resolution Week, the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution is hosting an outdoor dog caféÌýfrom 1 to 5 p.m. at Norlin Quad. There will be therapy dogs, warm beveragesÌýand sweet treats for students to enjoy while chatting with staff aboutÌýconflicts they might be experiencing on campus in a relaxed atmosphere. Learn more about your personal conflict style and strategies for effective conflict resolution.
Swing by the Dennis Small Cultural Center for a fun game night themed around the Colorado Creed from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in UMC 204. Bring friendsÌýand maybe a favorite game or two of your own, and enjoy this free chance to unwind from the stress of school.
Come and catch the free screening of the new documentary Chasing Coral, which discusses climate change and its impacts on the Earth and its vast blue seas. The film will be shown at 6 p.m. in Education 220,Ìýand there will be free Half Fast subs, so don’t miss out.

From 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fleming Idea Forge, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ startups looking to hire innovative CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students will connect and network with you. There is no sign-up or tickets required—just show up with your resume!

Bees are incredible animals, but their numbers are declining. If you’ve ever wanted to learn about caring for bees, now's your time! The CU Environmental Center is hosting a free workshop for CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students from 12:30 to 5 p.m., where you can learn about the art of beekeeping and examine a beehive. Be sure to register online by Oct. 18.

Celebrate World Singing Day with a crowd of enthusiastic ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵites, held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Courthouse. You can sing along to Frank Sinatra, the Beatles and Justin Timberlake at this free event, which is open to all regardless of singing ability or experience.
Based on TheÌýAmazing Race, the secondÌýannual CU Ultimate Challenge is an epic competition for a hundred teams of two, from noon to 7 p.m. You can register online to participate in this glorious field of battleÌýto win $2,000, and then celebrate at the after party at the Koenig Alumni Center. Registration is $10 for Herd members and $20 for non-members. Bring your A-game!
