A bike on campus.The Week Ahead, a series geared toward faculty and staff, provides reminders, events and possible items for the docket. Coming up in the next few days are opportunities to do yoga with baby goats, learn more about inclusive pedagogy and commuting by bike, attend the Conference on World Affairs, volunteer for commencement and more.

The Open Educational Resources Advisory Committee will examine national trends centered in the use of open educational resources (OER) and make recommendations to the provost regarding their best use at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, serving as a catalyst to promote educational innovation at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.

Give blood

The Staff Council spring blood drive April 10–12 will include a free T-shirt for donors, cake and a special celebration April 11 to honor a 45-year partnership with Bonfils Blood Center.


Thomas Laird, whose expertise is in effective assessment practices and the inclusion of diversity into the curriculum, will lead Engaged Assessment, Inclusive Coursework, and High-Impact Practices: Building a Case for Faculty ActionÌýfrom 9 to 10:30 a.m., C4C S350S.


Join theÌýRec CenterÌýand Mountain Flower Goat Dairy on Sewall Field for Goat Yoga! Sessions will take place from 11 a.m. toÌýnoon and 12:30 toÌý1:30 p.m. Space for each session will be limited, and a mat will be supplied.ÌýThis event is free with a Buff OneCard.


This free workshop is designed to give you the skills to ride your bike with confidence. They will cover topics including what to carry, finding the best route and fixing a flat tire. The workshop will take place atÌýat 6 p.m. at the Folsom Bike Station, and there is no need to pre-register.


ÌýAly Raisman talkÌýApril 12

Aly Raisman,Ìýthe two-time team captain of the gold-medal winning U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Teams in 2012 and 2016, will shareÌýthe highs and lows of her journey, including her survival of sexual abuse. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m. in Macky Auditorium. Advance tickets required.
