Need a break from studying, or maybe a caffeine refuel before you get back to hitting the books?This week brings to campus an array of events to help you cross the semester finish line.

Tuesday, May 1

Visit the finals website

Check out the finals 2018 website for a complete list of pre-finals events and other resources to help you finish the school year strong.

Visit the UMC fountains at 5:30 p.m. to make your own finals kit! Health Promotion and the UMC will be providing a variety of consumable and non-consumable items that you can use throughout the final stretch of the school year. This event is free for students with a Buff OneCard.


Wednesday, May 2

Fortify yourself for finals byenjoying a relaxing cup of tea, courtesy of Norlin Library (while supplies last).The tea station is set up daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. next to the Research Desk on Norlin's second floor.Also, keep an eye out for Final Care Kits that will be available at all five library locations at random pop-ups.

The Dennis Small Cultural Center hosts this annual event with a different fun activity occurring every hour. There will be a wide array of activities, starting with from 4 to6 p.m. on the UMC south terrace. Students can then visit UMC 457ڴǰ and between 6 and8 p.m. Everyone is invited!

Wrap up the semester with some PlayStation virtual reality! Come to to compete in their free video game tournament. Sign up starts 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk, and play begins at 7 p.m.


May 3 events for grads

Grad Bash

If you'regraduating in May or August, you're invited to Grad Bash at the Koenig Alumni Center. This free celebration for the class of 2018 includes food, drinks, giveaways, music and more. Join from 4 to 8 p.m.

If you're an LGBTQIA studentgraduating in either spring or fall, register to join the Gender and Sexuality Center for their annual celebration.Friends, family and allies are welcome to attend. Itwill be held from 4 to 6 p.m.in the C4C Abrams Lounge.

Thursday, May 3

Is there anything as satisfying as free late-night breakfast food? There will be tons of fun activities to partake in from 9 to10:30 p.m. in the UMC in addition to plenty of free food—including a breakfast burrito bar and eggs, bacon and potatoes. This is a free event; just bring your Buff OneCard.


Friday, May 4

Join in a conversation about the campusworking definition of inclusive excellenceand updates on the Diversity, Inclusion and Academic Excellence Plan. Join at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the .

Head to the Center for Student Involvement on the thirdfloor of the for the Super Surprise Study Sesh between 9 a.m. and5 p.m. This is a great studying environment with free food and an hourly prize giveaway for all students.

Need a break? Maybe a snack? Or just a refuel of coffee or tea? Stop by the Study Stops to refuel at 9:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Bring your Buff OneCard!

CU on Friday is all about bringing the CU community together! CU «Ƶ students, faculty and staff are invited to from 4 to6 p.m. for refreshments, an opportunity to paint a tiny watercolor and to check out the new pieces added to the UMC Student Arts Program collection at the annual Art Walk.
