Many benefits come with donating your time and talents to causes that are important to you. Whether it is helping at local events or welcoming new students to CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, there are plenty of ways to get involved in your community.Ìý

Why volunteer?

  • Make new friends and step out of your comfort zone! Stepping out of our comfort zones is key to personal growth.
  • Help a nonprofit with their social media presence.ÌýDo physical labor such asÌýgardening or yard work.ÌýConsider how you could contribute to a cause using your unique talents and skills.

There is a wide range of volunteer opportunities and time commitments to fit your schedule. Here are some volunteer opportunities in the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ area to help you get started this summer:

Vol-run-teer

Be a part of the biggest Memorial Day party on Earth, the Bolder ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ! There are individual volunteer positions along the course and at the finish line. You’ll receive a Bolder ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ volunteer shirt, snack bag and a front-row seat to all the action.

You can also volunteer for the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Ironman. ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ is a wildly popular home-base and vacation destination for triathletes. Come support your local racers as they participate in this bike, run and swim race.

Humane Society

Want a chance to help out some cute, furry friends? by signing up to be apart of their animal care team, a dog kennel assistant or a facility volunteer.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Philharmonic Orchestra

has a wide range of volunteer opportunities available including: office management, audience relations, education and fundraising events. You will get rewarded with complimentary tickets and an annual volunteer reception as a thank you for all your time and efforts.

Farmers market

If you are looking for a great, local place, then the is perfect! Between customer service, working with children or being apart of their Zero Waste Program, there is lots of valuable experience that you can gain from volunteering with the farmers market.

Busy this summer?

If you're busy this summer, then apply now to be an Alternative Breaks site leader in the spring! This 10-month leadership training program prepares students to lead a successfulÌýAlternative Break trip.

Alternative Breaks sends teams of college students to engage in community-based service projects during each college break. You'llÌýspend two to four hours a week planning an Aternative Break trip while learning about social and environmental issues.Ìý
