CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ faculty members and doctoral students who want to share their scholarly research and expertise with a broader audience are invited to join an Oct. 24 information session with a visiting Conversation editor.Ìý

Along with many AAU institutions, CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ is a partner and member institution of The Conversation, a well-regarded nonprofit and independent news organization dedicated to unlocking the knowledge of academic experts for the public good.

The Conversation publishes trustworthy and informative articles by academic experts for the general public, edited by a team of journalists. Through a Creative Commons license, content published in The Conversation is distributed—at no charge—to news organizations across the geographic and ideological spectrum. The Associated Press distributes content from The Conversation daily to thousands of newsrooms around the U.S.

The in-person only sessions will focus on:

  • What The Conversation is
  • The broad impact of Conversation articles through the lens of CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ scholars and a Conversation editor
  • How to craft an expert pitch
  • Q&A

The Conversation U.S. has published scholars at more than 900 colleges and universities and more than 17,000 articles sharing their expertise on subjects from astronomy to Zoroastrianism. Some 315 articles written by CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ faculty over the years have generated more than 14 million views and led to countless media interviews.Ìý
