Chancellor Justin Schwartz started his campuswide listening tour last week by meeting with staff, faculty, and the Administrative Council of the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
“I really want to hear and learn from you what is specifically important from your perspective,” Schwartz said.
The conversation was wide-ranging, including comments and suggestions about entrepreneurship, sustainability, online education, faculty recruitment, student support, compensation, equity and more. 265 individuals joined the session, both in person and online.
When the tour concludes, comments will be summarized and posted online on the listening tour pageso individuals can understand themes that are emerging across the campus.
The listening tour is intended to inform campus leadership about needs and opportunities as Schwartz begins setting priorities for campus in the months
ahead.
Additional college, school and unit sessions are being scheduled throughout the fall semester.
