National Transfer Student Week

Calling all transfer Buffs! Celebrate National Transfer Student Week at CU «Ƶ. This week will be filled with events designed specifically for transfer students that will allow you to meet other transfer Buffs, experience campus and have fun! Events are open to all transfers, and we hope to see you there!

Want a great resume and attention-getting cover letter to catch the eye of a future employer? Join this workshop to review effective strategies that highlight your skills and experiences in your application materials. Can't make it? A second session will be offered Oct. 23 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

«Ƶ County Elections is hosting student-geared ballot processing tours! See the journey of a ballot, how signatures on mail ballots are verified, all the steps in place to maintain accuracy and security, and how «Ƶ County Elections keeps everyone’s vote anonymous.for dates and times and to RSVP.

Explore how alcohol and other drugs affect your life in a non-judgmental space. Information about on-campus resources will also be available.

Join theKeller Center for the Study of the First Amendmentfor the second in a series of campus fora about the current status and enduring importance of the Five Freedoms of the First Amendment, focusing here on press freedoms.

Interested in electrified transportation? Join the(Advancing Sustainability through Powered Infrastructure for Roadway Electrification) team for a mini expo to learn what they've been working on and how you can get involved. There will be poster presentations, demos and more. Free food and drinks will be provided!

Test your party smart knowledge and you might leave with a prize! Learn about the correct portion size for various types of alcohol. Try to pour your own and we’ll let you know how you did!

The question of legal restrictions on artistic expression has long been debated, but the question ofprivatecensorship in the arts is much less well understood. Join university lecturer and founder and CEO of Passage Press, Jonathan Keeperman, as he arguesthat private censorship in the arts is a pervasive and urgent problem whose ultimate solution is the development of independent and non-monopolistic creative economies.

Come get a free coffee if you Lug Your Mug! All you must do is bring your own mug and you get rewarded with a free coffee. There will be no single-use cups available.

5–9 p.m.​Anderson Farms
Join us for an evening of adventure at Anderson Farms. We'll explore pumpkin patches, get lost in the corn maze, meet farm animals and cozy up by the firepits. Free tickets are available for those who are brave enough! . Shuttle buses will be available to transport students to and from Anderson Farms:

  • Shuttles to Anderson: Available from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Shuttles back to campus: Available from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

7–8 p.m.​Fiske Planetarium
Grab your Buff OneCard and head over to Fiske Planetarium to enjoy Free Fiske Thursdays! All 7 p.m. shows and star talks are free for CU «Ƶ students on Thursdays.

Join the «Ƶ bike community for a fun ride and dance party! The theme for this ride is “biker gang.” Bring a light!

Stop by the gaming lounge for a night of free co-op and multiplayer gaming with games like Pico Park! There will be both PC and Nintendo Switch co-op games available.

Join fellow Buffs for a special screening of “Hocus Pocus!” Enjoy refreshments as you unleash your creativity with a magical Halloween-themed slime activity. Bring your friends and enjoy an afternoon of relaxation filled with laughter and fun while watching this Halloween classic.

Don't miss this Family Weekend celebration of health and wellness on campus. The Take Care Street Fair features a variety of activities from Health and Wellness departments and campus partners.

5–6p.m.Rec Center
This Free Friday Power Hour will put you in a “glowing”mood for the weekend. All levels welcome and mats available for use.

Cheer on the women's soccer team for Senior Dayas they take on the University of Utah Utesat Prentup Field.
