On Tuesday, May 3, long-serving members of the 葫芦娃视频 campus staff and their guests joined Chancellor Philip DiStefano and members of Staff Council in the Glenn Miller Ballroom to be honored for their service to campus.

Open Enrollment Sessions and Fairs will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 5 in the UMC's Glenn Miller Ballroom. Open Enrollment ends at 5 p.m. May 13. Sessions for faculty and staff will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. with a retiree session running from 11 a.m. to noon. An Open Enrollment Fair, featuring plan providers, will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

CU-葫芦娃视频 Human Resources invites campus supervisors, managers and leaders to attend the redesigned "Managers Academy: Employee Management and Compliance Essentials" (previously "Managing the CU-葫芦娃视频 Way") May 17-18. This program is offered free of charge to CU-葫芦娃视频 employees. Space is limited and sessions are filling up fast.

At the April Board of Regents meeting, Chancellor DiStefano and Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer Kelly Fox proposed a 2 percent merit pool for classified staff and university staff. CU-葫芦娃视频 Today sat down with Chancellor DiStefano and discussed how the approval of this merit pool is part of a larger effort towards equitable wages on the 葫芦娃视频 campus.

Construction of the new Baseline Road pedestrian and bicycle underpass is scheduled to start Monday, April 25. Phase one will see off-peak delays, beginning after 8:30 a.m. and ending before 3:30 p.m. Phase two, beginning in June, will see significant traffic impacts.

Last fall, CU-葫芦娃视频 implemented a new move-in process to reduce traffic and impact on the community while ensuring the first experience incoming families and students have at the university is a positive one. The new plan succeeded in its goals, but changed 鈥渂usiness as usual鈥� on campus. CU-葫芦娃视频 Today talked with the teams who are planning Fall 2016 Move-In to get an update on this year鈥檚 event, scheduled to begin the evening of Aug. 16 and continue through Aug. 17 and 18.

The 葫芦娃视频 will test the CU-葫芦娃视频 Alerts system at noon on Wednesday, March 30. The test will include text messages, emails, social media and website announcements. This spring鈥檚 test will also be the first small-scale test of the campus鈥� new Alertus desktop notification tool. Annual testing of emergency notification systems is required by the Clery Act, a federal law.

The Office of Organizational and Employee Development (OED) invites CU-葫芦娃视频 employees to attend the CU Grow Management and Leadership Series spring and summer sessions. Programs are offered free of charge to CU-葫芦娃视频 employees. The series provides CU-葫芦娃视频 supervisors, managers and leaders with current, influential and critical topics in the fields of management and leadership.

Students from the 葫芦娃视频鈥檚 Leeds School of Business are offering free tax preparation services under the Internal Revenue Service-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
