The Graduate School is recognizing outstanding faculty dedicated to mentoring graduate students and supporting the mission of graduate education.

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program is pleased to announce the recipients of this year's Outstanding Mentor Awards, which recognize CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ faculty for their role mentoring undergraduate research and creative projects.

Pamela Harvey, a teaching associate professor, has been recognized for the passion and effectiveness of her teaching.

Students, employees and a unit are being honored for their efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the College of Arts and Sciences. The winners are the recipients of the second annual awards from the Arts and Sciences Consortium of Committees on Climate, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity.

Dan Larremore has won the Alan T. Waterman Award for his instrumental research on COVID-19 vaccine distribution and rapid testing. The prestigious award is the National Science Foundation’s highest honor for early-career scientists.

A number of individuals and departments are receiving recognition for innovations that directly reduce the university's ecological footprint, enhancements that build social cohesion and equity, and/or efforts that integrate sustainability into the culture of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and local communities. Help celebrate the winners at the Campus Sustainability Summit on April 21.

Twenty-three faculty and staff members were recognized this year through the Marinus Smith Awards for the positive impacts they have made on their students. See who they are.

CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students Zoe Drigot and Rose Summers are among only 417 college students from across the U.S. in 2022 to be awarded Goldwater Scholarships, which reward juniors and seniors who are actively conducting research in math, science and engineering.

Environmental Data Science, a new journal devoted to innovative data-driven approaches to environmental problems including climate change, recently published its first cluster of papers. Associate Professor Claire Monteleoni is the editor.
