A five-year project to improve the lives of youth in Denver鈥檚 Montbello neighborhood will kick off Feb. 16-17 with public meetings on the Evie Garrett Dennis Campus. Community members and key leaders will gather in the community room at 4800 Telluride St. in Denver to discuss efforts to reduce youth violence to be led by the 葫芦娃视频鈥檚 Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence. The public is invited to attend.

Williams will give a short presentation at the 葫芦娃视频 on Wednesday, Jan. 25, to share stories of CU alumni who are currently serving overseas and discuss the importance of the Peace Corps in the world today. The presentation will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Old Main Chapel and is free and open to the public. Nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2009, Williams is the 18th director of the Peace Corps and the fourth director to have served as a Peace Corps volunteer.

CU wins EPA challenge to divert most gameday garbage from landfills

CU won the 48-school 鈥淒iversion Rate鈥 and 17-school 鈥淥rganics Reduction鈥 categories in the EPA鈥檚 NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision contest.
