Religion in global media contexts to be explored at CU-«Ƶ conference Jan. 9-12

More than 80 speakers and presenters from 23 countries will be part of the Media and Religion: the Global View conference at the «Ƶ Jan. 9-12. CU-«Ƶ’s Center for Media, Religion and Culture (CMRC) will host the conference. All plenary sessions at the event are free and open to the public and will be held at the University Memorial Center, Eaton Humanities and Old Main Chapel on campus.

Students create new CU-«Ƶ maps with ‘universal design’ to expand access

In a new set of way-finding maps, planters at the «Ƶ are more than decorative containers. The concrete vessels serve as directional prompts for people to navigate central campus. The bronze buffalo statue near Folsom Field is another cue used in the online maps, as well as references like “exhaust fan at 10 o’clock” to guide those who use their sense of sound to move about.
