We are honored to have acclaimed author Stella Pope Duarte join us for a lunchtime conversation around activism, on Thursday, November 10th from 12:30-1:45pm in the Hazel Gates Woodruff Cottage.

Duarte is a Latina American novelist, and recipient of the 2009 American Book Award for her book If I Die in Juarez. She is a highly sought-after inspirational speaker for audiences of all ages, on topics related to her work, as well as on issues related to women's rights, culture, diversity, leadership, education, literacy, Chicano/Latino history, writing, and storytelling.
