My creatures bundle up in blankets of shadow to watch the winter sun cast their indigo shadows across the sensations of our human landscape
They are excited by the twinkle in the eyes of strangers.
They exist as a rush of adrenaline;
The clarity in a night spent in contemplation, and a voice for the words left unsaid.
They feel the burn of the tears in the eyes of onion peelers, and the hollow leftovers of a world-quaking loss.
They feel every detail of existence as it translates into their own.
You see, each one of us has a creature of their own.
They are eternally attached to us; as they take form in our shadows.
They grow and change as we do, and every one of our actions and thoughts translates to them.
So be kind to mind and your body and your soul; it reflects onto your Glowgan’s mind, body, and soul.
Take care of your little shadow, and it will take care of you.
