Matt Bethancourt awarded Engineering Excellence Fund grant to support Whaaat!? festival

Matt Bethancourt , senior instructor and TAM director, was awarded an Engineering Excellence Fund (EEF) grant to support the 2019 Whaaat!? festival. β€œThe funds will help bring world-class guest speakers and unique one-of-a-kind games to our community,” Bethancourt says.

"Whaaat!? A festival for games and experimental interactions" featured a large number of experimental tabletop and electronic games, and a large vintage arcade featuring games from the 1970s and 80s. Central to the event was a series of talks and workshops on the art form of game design.
