Blaine Tarekegne is the Director of Events for the Black Student Alliance for Academic Year '19-20.
BlaineÌýis a third year student who grew up in Aurora, Colorado, but both of her parents were born and raised in Ethiopia, so a lot of who she is stems from that. This is her second year as a BSA officer.ÌýOne of the most important things she has learned in her time at CU is how important it is to have a community of people who are rallying for your success.
Blaine joined BSA to help create a space where the Black students on campus can have a break from being "palatable" and just be themselves.
