Here are some things to know and final reminders for attending the Leeds recognition ceremonieson Saturday, May 11.
Arrive early
Check your ceremony page for information about the reception. Doors to the CU Events Center open 1 hour prior to ceremony start.
Arriving early also allows you plenty of time to find parking and get to the day's events. Visitors can expect heavy traffic while traveling to «Ƶ, in the city and around campus.
All campus parking lots will be open for public parking. Visitors can park on campus for no charge on the days of commencement and recognition ceremonies, including the pay-to-park lots. If guests have mobility issues, volunteers will be offering shuttle services.

Entry procedure and safetypolicies
Graduates will enter through the CU Events Center loading dock on the north side of the building. Guests will enter through the north west entrance. Graduates are encouraged to use the portable restrooms outside the venue before entering. There are no restroomsinside the check-in area or available once the ceremony starts.
The CU Events Centerhas athat will be enforced for ceremonies. Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” will be allowed.This applies to graduates and we recommend only bringing necessary items, as there is nodedicated area for storage.
Umbrellas, balloons, professional-grade video and camera equipment, artificial noisemakers and other items are not permitted.
Upon arrival at the CU Events Center, all students and guests will be required to walk through metal detectors. Compliance with the clear bag policy will ensure a better and faster experience for everyone in attendance. After graduates pass through security, students are required to pick up their name card from the alphabetized tables in the gym. Volunteers will be on hand to assist.
Note: Graduates are expected to adhere to CU «Ƶ's Code of Conduct and alcohol policies while at the ceremony and reception. Please review . Graduates are also expected to stay at the CU Events Center for the duration of their ceremony, even after receiving their diploma cover, out of respect for peers, university faculty and staff, and guests.
We’re excited to celebrate this milestone achievement with you, your family and friends! All students who participate in a Leeds recognition ceremony will have their name read, cross the stage and receive their diploma cover. The physical diplomawill be sent to your home later. Each ceremony will also be available via livestream (see the main recognition ceeremony webpage for livestream links). Campus will provide donation bins at receptions where graduates can drop off regalia to be donated to and used by future students.
