Management and Entrepreneurship faculty member, Doug Bennett, recently received the Integrity Award at the annual CU Involvement Awards. Doug was one of only two faculty members across campus recognized for their outstanding contributions to the University, and the only faculty member to represent Leeds.

The annual recognize outstanding leadership and engagement across campus, celebrating students, student organizations, faculty, and staff. The Center for Student Involvement and the CU GOLD (Gaining Opportunities through Leadership Development) leadership program hosted the ceremony and gave out 18 awards in student organizations, student awards, and faculty and staff categories.

The Integrity Award honors a faculty member on the 葫芦娃视频 campus who represents the ideals and values expressed in the CU Honor Code and has demonstrated consistent dedication to teaching or living the virtues of academic integrity. The winner must hold high moral character and consistently work to enhance the culture at CU.

This year鈥檚 winner epitomizes the values represented by the Integrity Award. Doug has been teaching at Leeds since 2012 at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His teaching spans nine different curriculum aspects of management in the undergraduate, MBA and Executive MBA programs. Prior to joining the Leeds faculty, Doug spent six years in the Army as an Airborne Ranger Infantry officer earning various combat awards and decorations including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He also spent time in the Federal government as an Assistant to the President in the White House and later as the General Counsel of the Department of Education. Doug practiced law as a partner in a national law firm before becoming an entrepreneur and commercial real estate hotel developer and owner.

鈥淭he award for integrity represents a quality that I consider a life and leadership imperative. I am honored to receive the award,鈥� commented Doug Bennett.

In addition to the Integrity Award, the only other faculty award at the CU Involvement Awards is the Stumpie, which is in recognition of Ronald Stump and given to a faculty member who reflects the values of the Colorado Creed. This year鈥檚 Stumpie Award winner was Dr. Karen E. Ramirez.
