The Center for Inclusion andÌýSocial Change offers 9 workshops facilitated by the Education andÌýSocial Change and Intercultural Engagement Offices. All workshops are designed for CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ undergraduate students,Ìýwith the exception of UndocuAlly, which is designed for faculty and staff only. Workshops for Undergraduate Students
Social Identities is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to recognize their own intersecting identities and those of others, while learning to be empathetic and open-minded to the experiences of others. Note: Minimum 15 confirmed attendees required.
Implicit Bias is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to understand unconscious bias, embrace diversity and implement strategies and behaviors to challenge implicit bias.
Inclusive Leadership is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to explore their values, their leadership style and how they can be inclusive leaders in their communities.
Interrupting Racism is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to engage in dialogue across difference, learn bystander intervention strategies and understand their role in combating racism.
Interrupting Sexism is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to recognize sexism and gender bias and learn strategies to promote gender equality.
Intersectionality is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to recognize that multiple identities intersect and interact with each other and how those identities can affect their privilege in society.
Let’s Talk LGBTQ+ is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to develop awareness and understanding of important terminology around varying identities and embrace diversity through empathy and respect.
Microaggressions is a 90-minute workshop designed for students to become aware of and explore various microaggressions, evaluate language and word choices and improve civil discourse and open exchange with others.
Workshops for Faculty and Staff
The Center for Inclusion and Social Change offers trainings for CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ faculty, staff and graduate students with a teaching/administrative role who want to learn more about how to support our Undocumented,ÌýDACA and ASSET students. If you have any questions,Ìýplease contact the center for more information.
Training Info
- UndocuAlly trainings are a two-hour commitment. Registrants must attend the full session.
- Registration will close at noon the day before the training.
- A minimum of 10 people is required to offer the training.
- Registrants will receive an email the day before the training confirming whether the training will run and providing the zoom link for the training.
Workshops for Graduate Students
At this time, we do not offer workshops for graduate students. However, the Education andÌýSocial Change team is available for consultations to discuss support and resources for graduate students. Please contact Nicole Laverty to schedule a consultation.
